STARKS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Johnson Buxton, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Starks First Pentecostal Church. The Revs. Greg Frazier and C.J. Walea will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is 5-10 p.m. today in the Emily O'Brien Center and from 9 a.m. Saturday in the church. Mrs. Buxton died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in a Lake Charles hospital. She was a native of Starks and had lived most of her life there. She was a member of the Starks First Pentecostal Church. Survivors include one son, Huey Buxton of Starks; five daughters, Zelma B. Hearnsberger of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jeanette Rose Sullivan, Clovie B. Holmes, Sylvia Marie Silor, and Gloria R. Gibson, all of Starks; one brother, Jackson Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mary ''May'' Ashworth of Starks and Rosa Porter of Vinton; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
