Oleta Allene "Leta" (Leggitt) Lott-Garner, 88, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on May 8, 1918, the daughter of Effie Octa (White) and Louis Leggitt. She married first married George Edwin Lott on November 28, 1935, in Haskell, TX. They became the parents of two children, James Dawson Lott and Kay Lynn Lott. Following George's death she married Darrell Elwin Garner in 1995. Oleta was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She taught us to love, smile, and to enjoy life to its fullest. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 36 years, George Edwin Lott in September 1971; three sisters; three brothers; two grandsons, John Edwin Lott in November 1971 and Ricky Wayne Lott in November 1971; daughter-in-law, Ella Mae (Nevill) Lott in November 1971; and step-daughter, Goldie Kaye [Garner] Blanchette. Oleta is survived by her husband of 11 years, Darrell Elwin Garner of Cleburne, TX [he passed away six days after Oleta]; her son, James Dawson Lott (wife Vondell) of Levelland, TX; her daughter, Kay Lynn [Lott] Pair (husband Sam) of Atoka, OK; step-daughter, Vicki Helms (husband Jimmy) of Cleburne; 13 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren; special niece, Eva Gauntt; extended family and friends.
