The Sioux County Index - Hull, Sioux County, Iowa - Friday, Jan. 31, 1930 Peter Visser Dies from Scarlet Fever Was Fifty-two Years Old, Leaves a Wife and Three Children to Mourn Loss Friends and relatives alike were shocked to hear, last Friday noon, of the death of Mr. Peter Visser at his home south of Hull from Scarlet Fever. He had been sick only a week. Mr. Visser was a man of sterling character, a model husband and father and one of the best men a neighborhood could hope to have. He was only fifty -two years old and leaves besides his wife, three children, one son and two daughters. A brother, Jake Visser, of Oglivie, Minnesota, also survives. The funeral ws held Monday afternoon from the yard. Rev. G.H. Douwstra speaking a few words of consolation there and at the grave in Hope cemetery. The sincere sympathy of all goes out to Mrs. Visser and the family in their bereavment.
