Donna Clara Doyle Shumway, 72, of Lindon passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 23, 2005. She was born October 16, 1932 in American Fork to James and Margie Harper Doyle. She married Robert Jay Shumway on December 26, 1950 in Lindon. Donna grew up in American Fork and graduated from high school in 1950. After her marriage she moved to Lindon where she raised her children. Donna worked in the school lunch program at Lindon Elementary. Donna enjoyed family time in the mountains hunting, camping, and enjoyed watching and participating in many sports especially archery.She was an excellent homemaker and loved cooking for family and friends. Donna loved gardening and sharing the fruits of her labor. She is survived by her husband Jay of Lindon; three children: Ron (Kathy) Shumway, American Fork; Kim (Shelley) Shumway, Lindon; and Kathy (Donald) Carter, Lehi; 7 granchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers: Nyle J Doyle and Lee Doyle. Her son, Neal and granddaughter, Amanda, preceded Donna in death. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
