Carl Jensen Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 4, 1990 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Carl Jensen Carl Bernard Jensen, Sr., the son of Carl and Elzie (Hansen) Jensen, was born on a farm near Marquette, Nebraska, on December 1, 1910, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 1, 1990, at the age of 79 years and 9 months. He attended District #20, thru the 8th grade, and then went to school in Marquette. On November 4, 1936, he married Bessie Iola Tuttle at Aurora. The couple purchased the homestead farm from Mr. Jensen's father in 1939, and farmed until retirement in 1974. They continued to make their home on the farm. Bessie preceded Carl in death on September 26, 1989. Mr. Jensen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Kronborg, and served on the church board and on the board of School District No. 20. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers, George, Einer, William, and Hans; 6 sisters, Anna Scott, Elsie Johnson, Astrid Stephens, Dagney Paulsen, Agnes Andersen, and Ebba in infancy. Those who remain to cherish his memory are 2 sons, Carl B. Jr. of Omaha, and Larry of Hampton; 2 daughters, Virginia Wall of Lincoln, and Joyce Jones of Aurora; 13 grandchildren and one great grandson.
