Abraham Doell Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 5, 1990 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Abraham Doell Abraham John Doell, the son of Peter and Anna (Goertzen) Doell, was born in York County, Nebraska, on April 10, 1908, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 3, 1990, at the age of 82 years and 23 days. He grew up near Henderson, and attended District #60 rural school near Henderson. Later he farmed near Henderson, and then worked at the Farmers Union Station with his father, and then worked at the Farmers Union Creamery in Henderson. He was also employed by York Manufacturing and the City of Henderson. In 1982, he retired and moved to Aurora. On July 21, 1955, he married Rosie (Kirkpatrick) Buller at Aurora. Abe was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Aurora. Abe had also been a member of the Lions Club and was a volunteer fireman. He loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ruth Ratzlaff, and a granddaughter Janyee Ellen. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Rosie of Aurora; 4 sons, Jeffrey D. Doell of Aurora, John E. Buller of Meridian, Idaho, Jim L. Doell of Kent, Washington, and Jerold L. Doell of York; 3 daughters, Janice Y. Trewern of Phoenix, Arizona, Joyce A. Shaw of Sutherland and Jill E. Lincoln of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 2 sisters, Helen Ratzlaff of Grantsburg, Wisconsin and Hulda Hiebert of Aurora; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
