Bio

Hulda Maria Hiebert, the daughter of Peter J. and Anna (Goertzen) Doell, was born near Hampton, Nebraska on January 1, 1912 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 5, 2010, at the age of 98. Hulda was raised on a farm in York County, 4 ½ miles east of Hampton. She received her education at District 6 School thru the 8th grade. Her family moved to Henderson in 1930, where Hulda did house work for others. Many people would know Hulda for her wall papering skills. On June 2, 1933, she was married to David Hiebert. They enjoyed camping, fishing, music and many trips to visit relatives in California, Minnesota, Colorado and Wisconsin. David passed away on May 1, 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth and Helen Ratzlaff; brother, Abe Doell and two special nephews, Kenneth and Robert Ratzlaff. Those left to cherish her memory are several special nieces and nephews: Pete & Rita Friesen of Hampton, Menno & Susanna Classen of Aurora, John & Janet Sams of Florida, Doris Ericksonof Wisconsin and Elnora Culver of Colorado.
