Overton Rites Will Be Held In Kirkland Funeral services for Mrs. Willie May Overton, 52-year-old charge nurse at the Denton State School, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Kirkland First Baptist Church of Which she was a member. Mrs. .Overton died at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. She was a resident of Lewisville. Rev. Clyde Allen, pastor, will conduct the services and burial will be in the Kirkland Cemetery by Newberry's. Pallbearers will be J.T. Perkins, Jack Dowlin, Dalton Martin, Robert Nippert, Teddy Thomas, Horace Dowlin, Weldon Hayes and Andy Lee Harp. Mrs. Overton was born near McKinney September 14, 1919, and came to Childress County as a child. She moved to Lewisville about six years ago. She married John B. Overton in Lewisville Nobember [sic] 11, 1968. Survivors include her husband of the home; one daughter, Ann Gressett of Childress; three sons, A.V. King Jr., of Lewisville; Perry King of Dallas and Robert King of Lewisville; four step-sons, John R. Overton Jr., of Perryton, Tony Overton of Perryton, Londen Ray Overton of Boston, Mass., and Neal Overton of Perryton; one step-daughter, Mrs. Sue Cox of Perryton; her father, Homer Yeargain of Childress; two sisters, Mrs. J.G. Perkins of Kirkland and Mrs. Everett Sweeney of Paducah, and nine grandchildren.
