Bio
Henry Stocks was born Aug 17, 1821 in Ripley, Derbyshire, England to willaim Stocks and mary Ann Radford stocks of England. Henry Stocks Married Mary Halley on July 21 1843 in St Elphin's Warrignton, Lancashire, England. To there Union was 10 children, of whome only 6 reached maturity. 1-Angus Murry Stocks 1844 2-Moroni Howard Stocks 1845 3-Simeon Carter Stocks 1947 4-Mary Stocks 1849 5-Henry Stocks Jr. 1851 6-Isabella AnnStocks 1953 7-Loisa jane Stocks 1855 8-Cimmeon Stocks 1957 9-William Stocks 1858 10-Eliza Stocks 1860 In Feb 1855 Henry, Mary and there children crossed the plains on the "Milo Andrus Company".On October 24, 1855 the family arrived in Salt Lake Valley. The winter fallowing there arrival was hard, and some of the children had to go to work to help provide food for the family. The chuch advised them to move to Manti when Henry Stocks became ill, From there, they were sent to Kanab, but were forced by Indiansinthe area to leave, Finaly, they arrived in Rockville where Mr. Stocks' health failed. Henry Died at the age of 51 on Apri l13, 1873 in Salt Lake City, SLK, Utah.
