Mary Lora Hembree attended school in Love County and at Oswalt School. She married her husband of 29 years, J.W. Hembree on December 3, 1949 in Gainesville, TX. She was born to the late Alfred "Cap" and Hattie Mae Cavins on June 22, 1933 at Simon, OK. She went to be with her husband J.W. on Friday, January 17, 2014. As a loving mother and lifelong homemaker she loved cooking, canning, gardening, and enjoyed the outdoors. One of her many pleasures was cooking meals for her family. She was also an avid sports fan who loved OU football. She is preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Ray Cavins; and three sisters, Robertus Beck, Beatrice Lynn and Leora Irvin. Mrs. Hembree is survived by one sister, Marcella Shaw; one brother, Gene Giles; two sons and their spouses, Randall and Del Hembree and Kelly and Becky Hembree; three daughters and their spouses, Sue and Winston Warthen, Patsy Payne, and Sandy Hembree; 11 grandchildren, Mischelle Brown, Brian T. Warthen, Miranda Fincher, Jared Hembree, Lindzie Bederka, Michael Payne, Jason Payne, Anthony Payne, Keeghan Hembree, Kameron Hembree, and Christopher Hembree; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Serving as casket bearers will be grandsons, Jared Hembree, Jason Payne, Anthony Payne, Caleb Fincher, Brian T. Warthen and Justin Bederka. Honorary bearers will be her church family at All-Faith Christian Church.
