SPRINGVIEW HERALD February 19, 1981 Springview Keya Paha County Nebraska OBITUARIES CLARA A. TUPA Clara Agnes Rasmussen was born July 21, 1920, in White River, S. D. to Arthur and Elizabeth Krogman Rasmussen and died Feb. 8, 1981 at the age of 60 years. She was raised in White River, S. D. area until she graduated from high school in 1938. She moved with her parents in 1939 to a farm north of Springview. After attending Wayne State College she taught school several years in the Springview area. She was married June 11, 1943, to L. H. (Slim) Tupa in San Luis Obispo, Ca. and to them eight children were born. During their married years they loved in Washington state, north of Springview and in the Ainsworth and Valentine areas. She was an active member of St. Nicolaus Church and prayer group. She had been employed at the Valentine Livestock Market and Joe O'Donnell & Associates. During the 20 years they lived in Valentine they operated Slim's Auction in Valentine. She is survived by her husband L. H. (Slim) Tupa, Valentine; Joyce Elaine Reimers, Rapid City, S. D.; Lee Edward, Schottsbluff; Patrick Allen, Mountain View, Wyo.; Thomas Eugene, Valentine; Judith Elizabelle Schmidt, Hay Springs; John Earl, Broadus, Mont.; six granddaughters, two grandsons, her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Rasmussen, Valentine; four brothers, Vernon, LeRoy, Louis, and Leonard Rasmussen all in California; three sisters, Mrs. Daryl (Margaret) Nims, Ames, Iowa; Mrs. Dallas (Hannah) Pentecost, Kennewick, Wa., and Mrs. Garth (Doris) Carr, Springview and other relatives. Services were held Feb. 12 at St. Nicholas Church in Valentine with Father Robert Wiest officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Valentine, Ne.
