Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Dec.27, 1956 Final Rites Set For Gustav Rokohl Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Seydler Funeral home for Gustav Edward Rokohl, who died at the family residence here in the city Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. The Rev.Roy H. May, pastor of the First Methodist church, will be in charge of the services with burial to take place in theWoodman cemetery. Mr. Rokohl was born on December 9, 1876, in Germany to Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Rokohl, also of Germany. He came to this country at the age of 12, and engaged n farming, retiring some years ago. He was arrived to Mary Clara Pinn on December 4, 1901, and was a member of the Methodist church. He was also a member of the Gonzales WOW and the Hermann Sons Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 824 St. Michael street; two sons, William Gustav Rokohl, Pasadena; Arthur Carl Rokohl, New Orleans, La.; five daughters, Mrs. Eloi Popps, Mrs. Ernest Miller, Gonzales; Mrs.Clifton Vowey, DeerPark,; Mrs. Harry Oncken, Monthalia; and Mrs. Melvin Hassman of Stockdale; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert of Three Rivers; Paul of Houston; and Richard of Orange Grove; and one sister, Mrs. Fritz Luedecke ofOrange Grove. Pallbearers were members of the Eoodman and Herman Sons lodge. Gustav Edward "Gus" ROKOHL, Jr. was a son of Gustav Edward ROKOHL, Sr. and Christiana DATZNIE , both of Germany. He married Mary Clara (PINN) ROKOHL .
