Bio

Meade Haile was the son of William Burder Haile and Minnie Virginia Fisher. He was born on a ranch in Hutchinson Co, TX. His mother, Minnie, died when he was only four years old. The children in this first family were Verdie Ruth, William Chloris, James Burder, Bettie Bee, Palmer Meade, and Minnie Nadine. His father married second a good friend of his first wife, Mrs. Nannie Irene (Byrum) Fry; she had two girls, Mary Evelyn Fry and Walta Ethel Fry. Together they had one child, Byrum Hodges. This made a blended family of 9 children. At the ranch house, the boys slept in the basement, and the girls slept upstairs. The Haile family moved to Clarendon, TX, so that the children could get a good education. Meade married Cynthia Gwyn Youngblood on 29 Jan 1929 in Clarendon, Donley Co, TX. Meade was a pharmacist and also traveled for a pharmaceutical company.
