Bio

Married December 30, 1939 Funeral services were held for Norma Pauline Edwards, 85, of Lucedale, May 18, 2006, at 2 p.m. from Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery. Born in Leakesville, she was a homemaker. She was also a retired kindergarten teacher for nineteen years. A member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years and was a part of the WMU and the Brushy Creek Homemaker Club, she died May 16, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Walton Harles Edwards of Lucedale; two daughters, Noma (Dave) Turner of Satsuma, Ala., and Jelna (Larry) Taylor of Lucedale; two sons, Harles (Arlene) Edwards of Lucedale and Eddie (Marie) Edwards of Moselle; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Louise Shephard Claxton. Sigler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Published in the George County Times, May 2006.
