BRUCE HERRINGTON Funeral services for Bruce S. Herrington, 70 of Frankston were held Monday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Frankston with the Rev. Billie Bonner and Rev. Gail Ford-White officiating. Burial was in the Frankston City Cemetery with arrangements by the Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Mr. Herrington died in a Tyler Hospital Saturday evening, May 1, after an extended illness. He was born June 2, 1911 in Anderson County, the son of Frank A. and Lucia Beard Herrington, and was a lifetime resident of the area. Mr. Herrington was a retired pipeliner, boilermaker and farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Frankston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bruce (Correan) Herrington of Frankston; two sons, Curtis Allan Herrington of Quinlan and Charles Ray Herrington of Garland; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley Ann) McLane of Frankston; one brother, K.D. (Tony) Herrington of Frankston; two sisters, Mrs. W.O. (Thelma) Terrell of Bullard, and Mrs. Carl (Arlene) Fortenberry of Frankston; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Roger House, Jerry Beard, Frank Gurney, Johnny Burks, Fletcher Hopper Jr., Lowell Lewis, Gordon McLane and Clem Cecil Jr. From the Frankston Citizen dated May 6, 1982 *****************
