Floyd "Cotton" Pringle March 17, 1923 - February 02, 2009 Floyd "Cotton" Pringle 85 of Big Spring died Monday February 02, 2009 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Jason Sanderson of Life Church, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Floyd was born to Roscoe and Jewel Pringle on March 17, 1923 in Dallas, Texas. He was the 4th of 8 siblings and an identical twin. Floyd married his lifetime partner and beloved Ethel Ann LaLonde on February 03, 1950 in Rockwall, Texas. They settled in Big Spring in 1964. Floyd was known in the business world as "Cotton". He was a welder by trade and spent his lifetime servicing and selling welding supplies and equipment for many years at General Welding Supply and at age 57 he opened his own business "Welding Equipment and Repair". He was a long time member of the Optimist Club where he was famous for his motor cross and dune buggy trail rides that entertained many in the desert terrain of West Texas. He was a member and beloved brother of the fellowship at Spring Tabernacle Church. Floyd leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his beloved wife of 59 years Ethel Pringle of Big Spring; his four children: Wanda Shoemake and her husband David of Bedford, Barbara Hall and her husband Mike of Big Spring, Catherine Wendland and her husband Wendt of Big Spring and Chuck Pringle and his wife Carmen of Ennis. In addition to his wife and four children he leaves to cherish his memory: brother Jimmy Pringle and his wife Joyce of Alba; ten grandchildren: Kevin Johnson and his wife Mechelle of Mexia, Deidrea Laux and her husband Thomas of Carrollton, Judy Pierce and her husband Billy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Catherine Vizcaino and her husband Matt of McKinney, Christie Larson and her husband Trev of Big Spring, Zac Hall of Big Spring; Amanda Pringle of Ennis, MaLeah Arguello and her husband Andy of Big Spring, Natalie Pringle of Ennis and Cheyenne Shoemake of Bedford; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents Roscoe and Jewel Pringle he was preceded in death by his: brothers Leland Pringle and Lloyd Pringle; his sisters Ruby Petty, Jeffie Millorn, Mary Ellen Boone and Lillian Alberts; and two great grandchildren Kimberly Johnson and Thomas Gordon Laux. Pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Zac Hall, Matt Vizcaino, Andy Arguello, Trev Larson, Mike Hall and Wendt Wendland.
