Jean Elizabeth Lomax, 84, of Elkhart and a lifetime resident of Anderson County, died Feb. 8, 2009, at her residence. She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Elkhart to the late James M. and Lottie E. Jones Meredith. Graveside services will be at Garden of Memories in Elkhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home. She was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by husbands, Louis H. Luce and Roland E. Lomax. She Lomax is survived by her son, Tommy L. Luce; daughter, Sandra Gonzalez and husband Francisco; sisters, Agnes Peterson, and Frances Brown and husband Douglas, and Billie Kury; three grandchildren, Chris Ramirez, Frank Gonzalez and Sara Ordonez; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Ramirez and Carlie Ramirez.
