Bio

Della L. Johnson, 97, died January 30th, in Chula Vista Nursing Center in Mesa. Mrs. Johnson was born October 14th, 1881, in Dallas. She moved to the Globe area in 1920. A longtime member of the ladies auxiliary to Louie E. Higdon Post 1704, Veterans of Foreign Wars, she was the last Spanish American War Veteran's widow belonging to the organization. Rosary was recited February 1st by Father Charles F. Maloney. Rebekkah services were conducted by Sultana Rebekah Lodge Five of Globe. Mass was Friday with Reverend William Burke, officiating. She is survived by one son, Carl Haley of Globe. Burial was in the I00F section of Globe Cemetery. Palmer Globe Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
