Joe Joseph Klepac, 77, a native of Williamson County, Texas, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, with his family at his side. Visitation for Joe will be 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service to be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35 in Georgetown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Corn Hill, Texas. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery between New Corn Hill and Theon. Joe was born to the late Henry Clement and Mary Theresa Neuman Klepac. Joe served his country honorably in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart for his service. He worked for American Desk Company for over 12 years, before retiring in 1994. Joe married Geraldine Krejci on Aug. 12, 1961. They were faithful members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for many years and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Joe was an extremely talented musician and singer. He performed with several bands over the years, some of whom included Eddie and The Rhythm Masters, Johnnie and The Swing Masters and The Vrelzels. Joe's love was playing bass, but he was also talented on the steel guitar and the banjo. Joe is preceded in death by his his wife of 39 years, Geraldine Evelyn Klepac, in December of 2000; parents, Henry and Mary Klepac; brothers, Alfred Klepac, Anton Klepac and Louis Klepac. Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Tommy Wayne Klepac and wife, Brenda; daughters, Linda Jackie Canava and husband, Adam, Debbie Ann Ryan and husband, Joe and Sherly Jolene Myers and husband, Britton; brothers, Charlie Klepac and wife, Matylda, Eddie Klepac, John Klepac and Rudy Klepac and wife, Wanda; sister, Mary Turner; grandchildren, Vernon Joseph Denson, Monique Klepac, Heather Jolene Denson, Ashley Lynn Canava, Alex Klepac, Justin Thomas Ryan, Bethany Ann Ryan and Jensen Vaughan Neuman Myers; great-granddaughter, Arrianna Baldwin; along with many other loving family members and friends.
