Bio

"The LaFayette Sun" - May 15, 1901: Mr. Lee Hunter, of Opelika, is up at the home of his father, at Buffalo, where he will spend the summer months. We are glad to state that Lee is enjoying good health. He is one of the county's most prosperous young men, and is very popular among the good people of Opelika, as well as at Buffalo and LaFayette. ========== "The LaFayette Sun" - February 10, 1915: The youthful bachelor, Lee Hunter, stuck his smiling face in our office door Monday a.m. and announced to us that he was a half century old that day, but felt just as young as the youngest of them; was not mad at any woman for not wanting him, and expected to live another half century. Some good woman has missed a mighty good husband by not landing Lee. ========== "The LaFayette Sun" - January 27, 1926: Ketchum & Cheatum. News from Buffalo, our nearby city, is to the effect a new business enterprise has recently been established there under the firm name of Hunter & Spence. Lee Hunter, the senior member of the firm, will act in the capacity of Ketchum, while Sam Spence will be known as Cheatum. Success will more than likely crown the efforts of Ketchum & Cheatum and they have the best wishes of all the business men of this section including Cash and Carry. ========== 1910 Chambers County, (Hamburg) AL Census: #H134 Lee Hunter 45M Farmer Born AL Sarah F.
