She was the daughter of James Thompson Love born 16 NOV 1815 Chester, South Carolina and died 8 JAN 1896 Corsicana, Navarro Co., Texas and Almeda Catherine Traylor 7 JAN 1837 Troup County, Georgia and died 29 OCT 1921 Navarro County, Texas. On 12 Jan 1886 she married George Mercer Salter and they lived in Navarro County most of their lives, having 12 children, Emma Maud Salter (1887 – 1961), Lois Helene Salter (1888 – 1960), Roger Q. (Bud) Salter (1889 – 1967), Ellis Salter (1892 – 1980), Thomas Dickens Salter (1893 – 1961), Fay Salter (1895 – 1895), George Tate Salter (1896 – 1971), Ruby Fay Salter (1897 – 1985), James Conway Salter (1899 – 1980), twins Worthy Salter and J.
