Bio
Leonard Lee Wells, 87 beloved brother, uncle and friend, a long time resident of April Sound went to be with his Lord on March 26, 2009. Leonard was born November 24, 1921, in Somerville, Tx th the late John & Bessie Wells. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe. Leonard was also a Scottish Rite Mason,member of Oak Forest Masonic Lodge #1398 and a member of the Shrine Temple. Leonard was a devoted husband to Annie McElroy Wells who preceded him after 66 years of marriage. Leonard and Annie were the owners of Fowler & Wells Mens Clothing in Houston for many years. He is survived by his sister Jeanette Ashford and Betty McCreary, brother, Johnny Wells and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation was 3-5 pm Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Metcalf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, March 30, 2009. at the Metcalf funeral chapel with Rev Merle Blado officiating. Graveside will be at 3 pm at Shiloh Cemetery in Shiloh Texas...Neil Bonds officiating...
