"Dohmen Rites - Funeral rites for Matthew A. Dohmen, 63, who died Sunday at St. Mary's hosptial, were held Wednesday morning at St. Bonaventure Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. J. J. O'Brien, Platte Center, was celebrant of the solemn requiem high Mass, with the Rev. Fr. Roch Hettinger as deacon, and the Rev. Fr. Joseph Hagen as sub-deacon. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Charles Sand, Lindsay; Bernard Dohmen, Leigh; Jerome and Eugene Dohman, Newman Grove; Wilford Sand and Mick Dohmen, Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers were: Tony Dohmen, Ed Connelly and Mike Labens. Lindsay; William Ramaekers and Steve Foltz, Columbus; John Sliva, Monroe. Out-of-town relatives and friends in attendance included: Mrs. Ed Miller and daughter, Sunman, Ind.,; Mrs. Joe Sand, Marengo, Ill.; Mrs. Tony Bandur, Torrington, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. William Arthur, Rushville; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meis and son of Elgin; and others from Platte Center, Lindsay, Newman Grove, Madison, Humphrey, Leigh, Dodge, Monroe and Cornlea."
