Bio
Born and grew up and was educated at Lindsay, Nebraska. Married Ann Braun Oct. 26, 1937 in Humphrey. The couple lived on a farm for 10 years; moved to Scottsbluff and in 1952 moved to Columbus and in 1954 moved to Grand Island. Worked for Hiway GMC; Hertz as an auto mechanic and then owned and operated Chris' Auto Repair. Later worked for Kramer''s Iron Co. and Auto Parts before retiring in 1978. Member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Survived by his wife; six daughters, Betty (Mrs. Clyde) Ganow of York, Phyllis (Mrs. Vernon) Cassell of Hastings, Marge (Mrs. Ken) Vang of Aurora, Colo., Arlene (Mrs. LeRoy) Kramer of Grand Island, Connie (Mrs. Francis) Hannon of Doniphan and Karen Tjaden of Grand Island; grandchildren; three sisters, Monica Mimick and Alice Braun, both of Columbus and Jeanette Foltz of Norfolk. Preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce, two grandsons, two brother and two sisters.
