From Jon Macon Contributor #48354107 Georgia Marriage records 1699-1994, John R. Minter wed Mary Ann R. McGough on December 8, 1948 in Monroe County, Georgia. The 1880 U.S. Census for Tazewell, Marion County, Georgia, records John R. Minter with wife Mary (which would be his second wife, Mary Matilda Lowe, as Mary Ann Rebecca McGough died in 1871). Sallie (Sarah) Minter, Curtis Lowe Minter, and Oliver Hunter Minter are listed in that same census record, and were ages 5 years, 2 years, and 4 months, respectively. Thus, they were all born after the death of Ann Rebecca McGough Minter. .
