Laurel Leader Call 20031111 Pat H. Shows, 91, of Laurel, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at the State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Webster will officiate. He was a retired customer service manager for Sears, Roebuck and Company after 32 years of service. After graduating from Wayne County Agricultural High School, he attended Jones County Junior College and graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Ill. He was a loyal and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #414, Hamasa Temple in Meridian, American Legion Post #11, Veterans of Foreign Wars #3042 and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. During World War II, he served in the Air Corps as a radio operator. He was involved in the invasion of Casablanca and spend two years overseas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite V. Shows. Mr. Shows is survived by his son, Thomas Shows and wife, Judith of Little Rock, Ark. Pallbearers are Charles Brett, Byron Gough, Bill Still, Edwin Thames, Thad Shows and John Shelbun. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
