Son of John R. Shows and Eleanora Easterling, Elenora's burial is unknown. ------------------------- THE LAUREL LEADER-CALL LAUREL, MISSISSIPPI, SATURDAY, MAY 25, 1935 J. N. SHOWS DIES SATURDAY MORNING AFTER LONG ILLNESS J. N. Shows, 74, respected citizen of the strengthford community, died at his residence there at 7:30 saturday morning after an illness of 18 months. Surviving are five sons; Louis, Johnnie, Walter, Clinton, and Pat; four daughters; Mrs. Willie Newsome, Mrs. Mattie Langley, Misses Flora and Idelle Shows; one brother William Creel; five sisters; Mrs. Vas Strickland, Mrs. Dollie Clark, Mrs. Oree Cochran, Ovett,; Mrs. Queen Williams, Melvin, Ala; Mrs. Sis Sellers, Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in Wayne county at two o'clock. Interment will be in the new family cemetery. His remains will be the first to be interred in the new cemetery
