The Columbus Telegram, February 18, 1980 BRIDGES - Earl Bridges, 2116 19th St., Columbus, died Saturday at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha at the age of 60. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Paul Rowoldt with burial in the Leigh Cemetery. Visiting hours are after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. He was born April 4, 1919, in Colfax County near Leigh to Louis and Margaret (Mackenstadt) Bridges and attended District 20 School in Colfax County. He married Annie Welch on April 13, 1944 in Columbus and lived south of Leigh until 1955 when he moved to Columbus. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Memorial Fund. Survivors include his wife, Annie; a son, Myron of Columbus; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edgar (Ruth) Wurdeman of Columbus. His parents preceded him in death.per DON
