Andrew Jackson Muse, b:Oct 26, 1880, in Springfield, Missouri, d:March 9, 1949, Dalhart, Texas. Married Julia Coleman, Oct. 14,1906 at Shamrock, Texas. The Wellington Leader April 1, 1965 Mrs. Julia E. Muse, one of the early settlers of Collingsworth County, died in Dallas Monday, March 29, at the age of 92. She had lived away from here for a number of years. Mrs. Muse was born Julia Coleman at Martin November 4, 1872. She was a member of a family that came to Collingsworth County in the 1890's and was prominent in the early development of the county. She was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Mary Jean Bassett of Dallas; Mrs. N. W. Saunders of Wascom; and Mrs. Wincie C. de Baca of Los Angeles. Other survivors are two sisters: Mrs. John Simmons of Brownwood and Mrs. W. M. Allison of Carrizo Springs; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
