Thanks to contributor #48763187 Lynn H. Drake, 84, of Central City, died Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City. ~~ Mr. Drake was born June 26, 1907, in Arcadia to Orson and Lucia (Walker) Drake. He attended school at Arcadia. He moved to South Dakota. He married Nellie Hvezda on June 15, 1927, in Hot Springs, S.D. They moved to Archer, where he worked in a blacksmith shop, and then moved to Central City where he worked for Slagel Crystal Ice and Northern Propane as a bookkeeper. He is survived by his two sons, Paul of San Diego, Calif., and Victor of Santee, Three daughters, Betty (Mrs. Al) Witte of Lincoln, Donna (Mrs Horrace) Walter of Conde, S.D. and Shirley (Mrs. Marty) Martin of Fullerton; 15 grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one brother, Robert of York. He was preceded in death by his wife; one grandson; two brothers; and two sisters. Grand Island Independent - Oct 24, 1991 - 7-B
