December 30, 2008 Hollis Tapp Hollis Tapp, 96, of Greenville died Dec. 28, 2008, at Hunt Memorial Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Memoryland Memorial Park, with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home until service time. Mr. Tapp was born in the Van Sickle community on Sept. 4, 1912, the son of Matthew Tapp and Mary Hogan Tapp. On Jan. 1, 1947, he married Lois Adkisson in Dallas. He was a retired millwright for Brown and Root Construction Company. He is survived by his wife, Lois Tapp of Greenville; daughter, Kathleen Smith of Greenville; sons, Mark Tapp of Paris and Matt Tapp of Mesquite; grandchildren, Dalton Tapp, Breanna Smith, Justin Tapp, Brandon Tapp and Shelby Tapp. His parents preceded him in death. Arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
