The death certificate for Mrs. Ada (Resigner) Ferguson gives her death date as June 1, 1941, Houston, Harris County, Texas. A. A. Risinger married J. A. Ferguson on November 20, 1884. By 1900, she had had 8 children. Children from census records: Cassie (b. Dec. 1885); Jodie (b. Jan. 1888); May (b. 1890); Dovie (b. Sept. 1892); Bertie (b. Jan. 1895); Willie M. (b. Jan. 1897); twin daughters Jessie and Julia (b. Nov. 1899). In 1940 the widowed Ada A Ferguson, age 72, and her son, William M. Ferguson, 43, were living in Houston, Texas, with her daughter, Bertie/Birdie C Shilling, 45, and Birdie's son, Raymond Mayfield Shilling, 21.
