Bio

Lynn Champion, a devoted wife and loving mother, went to be with the Lord at 2:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Gary and Joquetta Galloway officiating. Burial: will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A resident of Fort Worth since 1978, she was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Jacksonville to Joe Casey and Eva Blanche Otts Pagitt. She married Ron Champion Jan. 6, 1978, in Dallas. Lynn loved the Lord with all her heart and loved life and animals. Survivors: Her husband, Ron; children, Casey Trent Champion and Ashleigh Nacoe Champion, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Peggy Nell Blakeney of Duncanville, Betty Jo Scott of Mesquite, Sandra Jane Wright of Irving and Sharon Clopton of Arlington; brothers, James Leslie Pagitt of Edgewood and Ricky Vincent Pagitt of Grand Prairie; and her mother-in-law, Juanita Champion of Irving.
