Robert E. (Bob) Bloodworth, 69, of Rockwall passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 1989 at his home following an extended illness. Graveside services for Mr. Bloodworth were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 1989. The service was to be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home and was to be conducted by Dr. Bobby Holt, pastor of First Baptist Church in Honey Grove. Mr. Bloodworth was born March 27, 1920 in Celeste, Texas, a son of James Robert Bloodworth and Dixie Irene Nix Bloodworth. He married Anna Christine McGowan on May 14, 1968 in Greenville. Mr. Bloodworth was a retired carpenter and served in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in Burma, India and China. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockwall and was a former resident of Honey Grove. He is survived by his wife, Christine Bloodworth of the home; two daughters, Lynette Feagin of Richardson and June Anne Holland of Plano; one son, Jim Bob Bloodworth of Honey Grove; one sister, Bonnie Peterson of Loveland, Colorado; one step-son, John Gandy Jr. of Indianola, Mississippi; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- m1/Merle Maurice Ramsey 21 Jun 1941 • Bryan County, Oklahoma, USA They divorced on 10 May 1968 • Dallas County, Texas, USA Together they had (2) daughters: Brenda Bloodworth and June Anne Bloodworth m2/ Anna Christine McGowan Phillips 14 May 1968 • Greenville, Hunt County, Texas, USA
