Jim Bloodworth Rites Held Sat. James Robert Bloodworth, 67, a retired Honey Grove carpenter, died early Thursday, June 30, 1966, in a Paris hospital after an illness of two days. Services for Mr. Bloodworth were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the McKenzie Methodist Church in Honey Grove of which he was a member. The services were conducted by Dr. W. Harrison Baker, a former minister here and Rev. James Dean, Church minister. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Honey Grove was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Wilson, Robert Wilson, Frank Jones, Wade McKee, Ray Erwin and Joe Parsons. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Brotherhood class of the McKenzie Methodist Church Sunday school. He was born in Leonard, August 6, 1898, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bloodworth. He married Irene Nix on April 24, 1919. Mr. Bloodworth, a carpenter by trade, retired in 1962. Mr. and Mrs. Bloodworth were former residents of Celeste and Greenville, moving here from Greenville several years ago. He was a member of the official board of the McKenzie Methodist Church, and a church trustee and a member of the Brotherhood Class of the church Sunday school. Survivors include his wife of Honey Grove; one son, R. E. Bloodworth of Mesquite; one daughter, Mrs. Lee Corrington of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Betty Bridwell of Dumas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
