Myrtle D. Dinnel Former Chicoan Myrtle Diane Dinnel, 75, of Leesville, Coltga County died yesterday at a Colusa hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall-Van Funeral Chapel, Chico. Born Aug. 7, 18,99, in Lodoga, to Calvin and Rebecca Newton, she moved .with her family to Chico in 1913. She attended Chico High School and on March 6. 1919, married Virgil Bryan Dinnel in Chico: He preceded her in death in 1950. A graduate of University, Chico State Mrs. Dinnel taught in Chico and Colusa schools until her retirement in 1965. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Survivors included son, David of San Diego; two daughters. June Kaufman of Chico and Rebecca Bradley of Sacramento; a brother, Will Newton of Paradise; a sister, Vera Alicki of Chico; 12 grand-children and 7 great-grand-children. Rev. Barry Foster of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church will officiate at tomorrow's service, Organist Wava Backlund will present "Until Then" and —How Great Thou Art." Cremation will follow at Chico Crematory with inurnment to be at Chico Cemetery. Friends may call' at the funeral. chapel after 5 p.m. today.
