Bio

Samuel Darnell Holt was the son of Jonathan Cyrus Holt and Missouri Colenia Tatum. He was married twice: Nancy Lurena "Rena" Buckley, 2 June 1998, Ardmore, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (now Carter County, Oklahoma) Vivian (last name unknown), reported on his birth certificate as his wife's name, Vivan Holt. A notice cited by David Piper in his genealogy of the Wetmore-Lee lineage reports "El Camino Memorial - Cypress View Mausoleum." This identity is uncertain. Currently El Camino Memorial, Mausoleum and Cemetery is located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, while Cypress View Mausoleum is located considerably far south of there at 3953 Imperial Avenue at 40th Street. The Imperial Street address is also reported in the notice cited by Piper. The notice further reports that the Cypress View Mausoleum was formerly known as "Benbough Mausoleum and Crematory." The notice reports the location of the niche as "North building - Shepard's Lane - Wall "D" - Building on Imperial Street." Interestingly on Find a Grave, the cemetery entered as "Cypress View Mausoleum and Crematory" is "Also known as Benbough Mausoleum , El Camino Memorial Cypress View Mausoleum, San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA." It appears that since 1930m the new cemetery and mausoleum site on Carroll Canyon Road now had the name El Camino. The location currently named Cypress View on Imperial Street is the location of the remains of Samuel Darnell Holt.
