A.K. Junior Waldrop, a resident of Green Forest, was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Eureka Springs, a son of A.K. Fidella and Permita Angeline (Johnson) Waldrop. He died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, in Fayetteville, at the age of 83. Mr. Waldrop was a minister of the Pentecostal faith. On May 17, 1964, he was united in marriage with Joann (Ellison) Waldrop, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Billy Waldrop of Marble, and Billy Eugene Waldrop of Missouri; five daughters, Annie Opal Girard of Florida, Shirley and husband Billy Griggs of Marble, Evelyn and husband Danny Madewell of Green Forest, Gloria and husband, James Engel of Berryville, and Mary Louise Waldrop of Texas; four brothers, Otis Waldrop of Texas, James Waldrop of Texas, Marion Waldrop of Lincoln, and Vergil Waldrop of Rudd; one sister, Annie Fultz of Rudd; 22 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one son, four brothers and three sisters. Interment Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, in the Gobbler Cemetery.
