Bio

Edgar McMillian Pryor was a Veteran of World War I Obit: Amarillo Globe December 16, 1934 Funeral Services Saturday For Ed Pryor, Constable Precinct 1 Edgar McMillian Pryor, 41, died in Wellington at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon following an extended illness resulting in pneumonia. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist Church in Kirkland, conducted by Rev. S. L. Wood and military burial rites were in charge of the Wellington American Legion Post. Mr. Pryor came to Wellington four years ago and at the time of his death was constable of Precinct No. 1, in Collingsworth County. He also served: as constable at Electra for several years and was widely known over the Panhandle. He had served as constable in this county for the past two years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Faye Pryor; daughter, Jimmie Pryor; mother, Mrs. L. L . Pryor of Kirkland; also D. D. Pryor of Kirkland, C. P. Pryor of Archer City and Oscar Pryor of Kirkland. Pall bearers were: Marvin Somerville, 0. M. Payne, C. E. Bennett, Earl Admire, John C. Harper, J. C. Whisenant. Flower bearers: Mrs. Joe Fleming, Miss Lavona Boone, Mrs. Raymond Young, and Mrs. Hugh Autrey. Interment was made in the Kirkland Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home.
