Bio
Willie "Howard" Moss, 89, an oilfield construction contractor and a rancher, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, in Bridgeport. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Interment: Cumby Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Howard was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Montague County. He was a 50-year member and a past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge #508. "Little Willie," as some called him, was a small man in size with a big heart, but stood tall in the eyes of many. He was preceded by his wife of 55 years, Charlene; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer; his brother, Georgel; and sisters, Cora Luther, Edna Reynolds and Sarah Jane Moss. Survivors: Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Mike Moss and wife, Raye Nell, and Randy Moss; grandchildren, Craig Moss and wife, Leanna, Teresa Mader and husband, Larry Jr., Kate Cowling and husband, Will, and Blake Moss; great-grandchildren, Malori, Macie, Mikena and Maley; and sister, Faye Weatherford.
