Survivors include his wife, Dollie Willis James, Pitkin; one son, Barney Alvie James Jr., Pitkin; one brother, ray James, Orange, Texas; three sisters, Norma Calcote, Rosepine, Millie Calhoun, Madison, Ala., and Dorothy Willis, Pitkin; and one granddaughter.
