Obit: Thursday, Aug. 27, 1964, Prairie Post Newspaper. Funeral services for Edward L. Manning, 67, of Argenta, were held Monday afternoon in the Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home, Rev. F.E. Blimline officiating. Burial was in the Friends Creek Cemetery. Mr. Manning died Aug. 21 in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital. He was a carpenter and had moved to Argenta from the Cisco area y23 years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Born March 31, 1897 in Sigel, he is the son of Andrew and Lucy Fisher Manning. He married Etna Pea on Dec. 24, 1917. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lucas of Decatur, and Mrs. Mary Mackey of Gold Hill, Ore.; one son, Wayne of Argenta; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
