Bio

He was the son of Wilburn Henry Lay and violet Blanch (Lowell) Lay. He graduated from Putnum City High School in 1959. He married Eden Lay on March 29, 1976. He retired from the United States Navy in 1982 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and theEarlsboro Liars Club. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, horses, fishing and the ocean. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife; 8 children, Thomas D., Beth O., Rannie O., Webb H., Richard D., Nancy, Richard P. and Richard H. Jr. Also his mother; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Thomas and Danny and a sister, Judy. Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Service with burial at Yukon Cemetery.
