Billy Howard Merchant Billy Howard Merchant, 69, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. He was a resident of Seminole. Merchant served in the U.S. Army and retired from NAS Pensacola. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Wells Merchant, and a daughter, Melinda Merchant, both of Seminole; a son, Danny Merchant of Mobile; four brothers, Michael Merchant of Troy, Ill., Rodney Merchant of Theodore, Larry Merchant of New Orleans and Kent Merchant of Pensacola; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale with burial in Mitchell Cemetery in Seminole. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory in Robertsdale.
