Bio

Janice M. Caldwell, 52, an RN, BSN, EMT-P and CNA52, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at a Temple Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Jim Deaconson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday, at Dossman Funeral Home. Janice Marie was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to Frankie and Elenora (Machovsky) Muehlstein. She attended Abbott schools and was a 1974 graduate of Abbott High School. She attended Hill Junior College and later the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing in 1979. She was employed at Scott and White Hospital for over 30 years. She was a 2-time recipient of the Shining Star Nurses award, a Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider and a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She married Jerry Caldwell on Jan. 8, 1977, in Abbott, Texas. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, K.J.Z.T. She helped found the Mended Hearts Group, Chapter 12 and was also a member of the American Heart Association, Texas Association of Perianesthesia Nurses. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy, in 1996; and her father. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Caldwell, of Temple; daughters, Jennifer Caldwell, of Wylie, and Jerilyn Oliver, of Tomball; mother, Elenora Muelhstein, of West; brothers, Frankie Muelhstein and wife, Barbara, of China Springs, and Patrick Muelhstein and wife, Jackie, of Longview; sisters, Rita Pustejovsky and husband, Erwin, of Combine, Mary Kay Marusak and husband, George, of Georgetown, and Betty Ann Page and husband, Gary, of Waco; and grandchildren, Morgan Catherine Oliver and Frank Joseph Oliver III.
