Mandy Maude [known as Maude] Burk was born 07 Sep 1884 in Bristol, Ellis, Texas, United States, the daughter of James Franklin Burk (1861-1931) and Nannie Luisa Maxey Burk (1861-1907). She had one sister Vada Catharine Burk. Maude married Claud Orie Hefley 25 Aug 1901 in Bristol, Ellis, Texas. They are the parents of Johnny Bruce Hefley (1904-1951), Ulric Derward Hefley (1908-1975), C. F. Hefley (1910-?), Dorothy Ethel Hefley (1912-?) and Rhoda Mae Hefley (1915-). Maude passed away 23 July 1967 in Ennis, Ellis, Texas and was laid to rest beside her husband Claud in the Bristol Cemetery in Bristol, Ellis, Texas.
