Bio
Letitia Russell's father has to be the William Russell of Burke Co NC. Letitia married Thomas Scott in about 1775 but no records of her marriage have been found. It was in Rowan, NC as Burke Co was not formed until 1777 from part of Rowan Co. NC. William Russell married a second wife Rachel Scott, sister to Thomas Scott and daughter of Samuel Scott and Mary Jones. William Russell had a first unknown wife and had sons Isaac, and Benjamin. who had land deeds in Rowan Co NC by 1778. Some very bad research done in 1950 had Letitia Russell's parents as Joseph Russell and Elizabeth Penn but it's impossible for them to be her parents.
