Bio
George was the son of Isaac William & Mary Barnes Elledge. He married Susan Caroline (Callie) Wood 16 Nov, 1878 in Cannon Co., TN.. They had eight childen: Bonnie Callie, Opha Artence, Joseph Oto, Mary Argin, Ona Lee, Era Pearl, William Isaac & Ada Macon. Dry Creek News....Mr. George Elledge, one of our oldest citizens died Thursday afternoon. He was 75 years old and had suffered for the last few years from paralysis which was the cause of his death. After funeral services at the church by Bro. James Davenport, the remains were laid to rest in the Barnes Cemetery. We join the other friends in this community in extending our sympathy to the bereaved family. Mrs. Bonnie Hale was here from Nashville to be at the bedside of her father, Mr. Elledge.
