Willie Mae Hutyra, 83, of West, formerly of North Richland Hills, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in West. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in West. Mrs. Hutyra was born on in West, Texas, to the late Louis Joseph and Mary Frances (Soukup) Bezdek, Sr. She attended St. Mary's School and graduated from West High School in 1943. Willie Mae was also Treasurer of her senior class. On July 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Edwin Anthony Hutyra in West. Willie Mae was a bookkeeper for K. W. Martin Lumber Company in Smithfield for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that she worked for Camp Swift in Bastrop. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America and was a Camp Fire Leader. Willie Mae was a member of St. Patrick's Cathedral Catholic Church in Fort Worth. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, and genealogy. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Anthony Hutyra on March 10, 1983; and her brother, Louis J. Bezdek, Jr. on Sept. 11, 1994. Survivors include daughters, Deborah Cavasar and husband, James, of Las Vegas, Nev., Rose Barndard and husband, Eugene, of Haltom City, Linda Johnson and husband, Gerald, of Canton, Ga., Veronica Gloeckner and husband, Dennis, of West, and Cathy Vasquez and husband, Homer, of Grapevine; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
