MILLADORE - Edward L. Haupt, 70, of 9370 Vermillion Road, Milladore, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at the House of The Dove in Marshfield after being admitted on the 24th of February. Funeral services for Edward will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore. The Rev. John A. Wisneski, pastor, will officiate. Catherine Warnecke will be the organist for St. Wenceslaus Church Senior Choir. Edward's nephews will serveas pallbearers. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Sherry. Visitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. Friday at the Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home in Marshfield on Friday and from 10 a.m. until time ofservices on Saturday at the church in Milladore. A St. Wenceslaus Parish Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Edward Haupt was born on April 30, 1932, to Frank and Anna (Unertl) Haupt in the town of Milladore. Edward attended St. Mary's Parochial School in Auburndale until the 10th grade and graduated from Auburndale H.S. (12 years). He married Sally B. Bassuener on Oct. 15, 1951, at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Blenker. Edward was a lifelong well driller and part-time inventor. Those who knew him understood he had a strong work ethic and his family knew Edward to be the "Official Family Boss and Advice Giver." Edward was an avid sportsman and loved hunting out west. He and Sally enjoyed traveling together and spending time together. Edward was "Super Grandpa" andfollowed both his own children and his grandchildren in their sporting and academic events. Edward was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and a member ofWisconsin Water Well Association. He was a former member of the Lion's Club and formerly served on the board of directors at Auburndale Insurance Agency. Along with his wife, Sally, he is survived by his children, Cathy (Dennis) Seevers, Arpin Greg (Joyce) Haupt, Auburndale Chris (Pat) Thayer, Altoona Kim (Rick) Hughes, Byron, Ill. Mark (Sue) Haupt, Waukesha, and Alan Jr. (Debbie) Haupt, Arpin his grandchildren, Erin, Shaun, Patrick, Katie, Marcus, Matt, Jake, Jessa, Vince, Andrew and Virginia. Heis further survived by his brothers and sisters, Sylvester (Lois) Haupt, Auburndale Dorothy (Jack) Steber, Marathon City Betty Zimmermann, Marshfield Donald (Cheri) Haupt, Auburndale Robert (Lydia) Haupt, Auburndale, and David (Julie) Haupt, Auburndale. Edward also is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Zopfi, whopassed away Feb. 19, 2003. Memorials made out in Edward's name to the House Of The Dove Hospice Home, The Hope Lodge of Marshfield or to the charity of choice is appreciated. The Haupt Family would like to thank the staff of the Oncology Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and the staff at the House Of The Dove Home Hospice for the love and care given to Edward. ∼ Married to Sally B.
